they're home!

Mom, Dad, and DD are finally HOME! We had fun with Jacob and kept him bus. Mom is still trying to figure out how we ate an entire big bag of dog food in 8 days. She thinks we were being fed twice a day.

This morning Angus brought a WORM into the house, it was pretty big. He didn't chew it, or hurt it in any way. Dad confiscated the worm and put it back outside where he said it belonged.

I've started teaching Rufus how to butt bump and he's starting to use the move on Angus. Way to go Rufus.

ESCAPE!

Well today Mom decided to finally bring in the case of copy paper from her car. It was about time as it had been in there for about a MONTH. Mom's a procrastinator if you hadn't guessed. Anyways....while she was trying to carry it in the front door Angus, Rufus and I, otherwise known as the Triad, saw our opportunity to escape. We ran as a group, just a larger pattern of our evening run thru the house around the furniture, only this time we ran from house to house. Mom and Dad were chasing us in their church clothes. It was pretty funny and a lot of fun (for us)until Mom caught Angus. We then decided we better listen to Mom and Dad and get back into the house. All was well until they noticed that Pugsly was nowhere to be found! Turns out that Dad had left the front door open when he was out helping Mom try to catch us. Luckily Pugsly hadn't gotten far and Dad carried him home. We got the lecture about how it is dangerous to run out front, how we could have been hit by a car, and that that is what our big back yard is for (to run around in). Here's a picture of our back yard.

We love it when any apples and plums fall from the trees....yummy!
Well, I'm going to go lay by the wood stove.

This, that, and other things

Hi, I'm Pugsly. I thought I'd take a turn at posting today, after all I am the senior pug in this household. Warning: since I'm a pretty old my thoughts do wander and jump all over the place. I've been sitting on Mom's lap more and when I do the other 3 pugs decide that they need to sit there also. Needless to say it can get pretty crowded in her recliner! ....it's starting to get pretty windy outside.... Angus and Rufus had their first all day vet appointment on Monday. They both weigh a little over 13 lbs now. On their report cards the vet wrote that Angus was a sweet boy and Rufus is a flirt. I'm glad that they behaved for the vet and are in good health.
Meal times.... When we get fed I get put in the pen where the other pugs can't get to my food since I eat slower. I'm fine with this arrangement, it keeps me from getting upset and I get to eat all of my dinner. The problem is with Uff-Da. Mom and Dad space each of the other food bowls by several feet but Uff-Da will go psycho pug and charge and attack the nearest pug even though he hasn't done anything. The puppies have learned to not go near him while he is eating. He used to attack me. Does anyone have any advice for my parents? It's upsetting when he does this as they know that he is really a good boy.
